Younglove acted as the design-build general contractor for AIPC’s second satellite plant built at Kenosha, Wisconsin. The 122,000-square-foot facility includes a semolina transfer system, semolina storage, pasta press room, packaging room, and warehousing. Other areas of the plant include production support rooms, control room, MCC rooms, boiler room, maintenance shop, trash disposal, offices, and employee welfare areas. The pasta plant is of precast concrete construction, with many of the support areas on the second floor mezzanine. The semolina tower is of slipform concrete.

This is a state-of-the-art facility, including many improvements in sanitary design features.

Totes of short goods pasta are stored in the warehouse before shipment. One of the three lines initially installed has a capacity of 16,000 pounds per hour.
