This new flour milling facility was constructed adjacent to the pasta manufacturing facility which Younglove constructed in 1995. The flour milling facility has a 9,500-cwt-per-day capacity and includes lights-out production capability. The facility was built on a design-build, fast-track basis and placed into service in less than 10 months from groundbreaking.

The facility includes wheat receiving and cleaning, wheat storage, flour mill, finished product and byproduct storage, and semolina transfer to the existing pasta plant. The grain storage facility is 110-foot-high slipform concrete and includes twelve 22-foot-diameter bins with seven interstice bins, for a total storage capacity of 391,000 bushels. The flour mill is a 109-foot-high by 190-foot-long, 7-floor structure. It includes two screening bins, eight whole wheat bins, three semolina bins for transfer to the pasta plant, four bulk loadout feed bins, and two bulk loadout flour bins. The overall floor area of the flour mill is 50,000 square feet.

Support facilities adjacent to the flour mill include a two-story precast concrete structure. The first floor of the structure includes electrical and maintenance rooms; and the second floor of the structure includes a laboratory, lunchroom, locker rooms, office, and conference room.
