Bay State Grain and Flour Storage

Mooresville, North Carolina

Commitment to established facilities and markets provided motivation for Bay State Milling to invest in a unit train facility, expanded milling capacity, and modern finished product storage and loadout facilities.

The project consisted of a high-speed receiving system, 450,000 bushels of new storage, and a new cleaning house at the grain elevator. A precast building was erected to house a 2,000-cwt-per-day short-flow milling unit. A finished flour bulk storage facility with automated blending and fluidized loadout bins completed the project.
