In mid-June of 1987, Younglove broke ground at Excelsior Springs, Missouri, for the American Italian Pasta Company’s first facility. Younglove completed two major expansions in the 1990’s. The facility is fully integrated and includes durum wheat receiving and storage, wheat cleaning, flour milling, semolina storage, pasta production, packaging, warehousing, and shipping facilities. The facility includes slipform concrete structures for the grain elevator, flour mill, and semolina storage and a precast concrete structure for the 250,000-square-foot pasta manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing/shipping facility. Production began in mid-September of 1988.
