ADM Temper Building and Bulk Plant
Camp Hill, Pennsylvania
Younglove constructed the temper building and bulk plant for ADM's new flour milling facility in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. This portion of the project consisted of slipform concrete mill towers for both structures. These structures employed rounded corners in the bins and special finishes inside the bins as the slipform process progressed. Special attention was given to the forming materials for the slipform process to help give the interior bins a smoother finish.
Younglove performed structural concrete work for boot pits, truck scales, footing and foundation work, and all slipform concrete work. Approximately 50 tons of structural steel were used in the roof, penthouse, and stair tower enclosure.
The structural steel was skinned with a 2-inch-thick metal insulated panel. The exterior of both the bulk plant and the temper buildings was covered with a 2-inch foam Dryvit system.
