OCF Batch Tower

This concrete slipform batch tower was a monolithic slipform structure with one-foot-thick interior and exterior walls. The interior overhead bin walls required the use of a special shoring system to support the fresh concrete during the slipform process. Because vertical reinforcing steel was placed in both interior and exterior walls, it was necessary to place concrete from exterior and overhead concrete buggy paths. A total of 1,780 cubic yards of concrete and 150 tons of reinforcing steel were placed.
