This Cargill feed mill project includes a slipformed feed processing tower, a renovated whole grain storage complex, and an attached warehouse that ties in to an existing warehouse. The existing rail receiving system was revised to enclose a complete rail car with hopper car unloading.
The mill contains 2,533 tons of feed ingredients, textured feed ingredients, and pellet mash and 305 tons of finished feed. Processing equipment includes an 18-ton-per-hour, 100 hp vertical rotor hammermill; an 18-ton-per-hour, 30 hp roller mill; a 3-ton mixer; a 300 hp pellet mill; a relocated 150 hp pellet mill; and two pellet screeners for finished pellets to bulk loadout. A complete automated bagging system is included for palletizing bags in the warehouse.
