ADM contracted with Younglove to construct one 54-foot by 148-foot-high, one 42-foot x 148-foot-high, and two 30-foot by 120-foot-high silos for material storage at their new cogeneration plant in Clinton, Iowa. The fly ash and bed ash silos consisted of 11-inch-thick slipformed walls with elevated 3.5-foot-thick overhead bin bottom slabs, upper concrete equipment floors, and concrete roofs. The fly ash and bed ash silos were constructed so trucks could drive through the silos for product loadout. The limestone silos consisted of 9-inch-thick slipformed walls with an elevated ring beam to attach the steel cone hopper to (which was supplied and installed by the Owner) and concrete roofs.
