ADM Fly Ash Silos

ADM contracted with Younglove to construct two 54-foot by 148-foot slip height silos for material storage at their new cogeneration plant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We mobilized immediately and completed our scope of work in just 13 weeks. The layout for the two silos consisted of 11-inch-thick slipform walls, an elevated 3.5-foot-thick overhead bin bottom slab, upper concrete equipment floors, and concrete roof.

The silos were constructed in such a way that trucks could drive through the silos for product loadout.
