This facility was expanding from 15- to 18-car unit trains to 90-car unit trains. A new 130-foot-long rail receiving building was constructed over a new rail pit capable of unloading two cars simultaneously. The two pits are equipped with aspiration and can unload cars at 25,000 bushels per hour per pit. Whole corn or soy meal is elevated to five 35-foot-diameter silos. Four silos with cone bottoms are for corn, and one silo equipped with a Laidig unloader is for soy meal. Reclaimed soy meal is conveyed to the mill. Corn is reclaimed back to the original silos or directly to the hammermills.
