Cargill Grain Storage Annex
Ord, Nebraska
This project consists of three 38-foot-diameter by 130-foot-high continuous slipform silos with 8-inch-thick walls, configured into a triangle shape. The transfer of grain to the new silos is via a 20,000-bushel-per-hour belt conveyor, with reclaim from the silos through electric proportioning gates that feed two 30,000-bushel-per-hour belt conveyors back to the existing workhouse. A combination silo unloading system and 1/10 cfm aeration system for each silo was provided by Kanal System® and installed by Younglove.
